Cannabidiol (CBD) has miraculous healing abilities. There are real-life proof showing CBD oil cured cancer and gave relief from chronic pain.
No surprise that a bunch of celebs use CBD. Who are these celebs? Well, some of them are unwilling to reveal themselves for the risk of being identified as stoners, while others staunchly prop the legalization of marijuana.
We have put together a list of six celebs who have benefited from marijuana and hemp-derived CBD. They recommend CBD oil and hemp products to others. These celebs are:
After benefiting from medical marijuana, Whoopi Goldberg decided to take a leap into the market for cannabis products. Goldberg is so committed to marijuana that in march this year, she announced that she is setting up a medical-cannabis company along with Maya Elisabeth.
The company is called Maya & Whoopi. They not only sell CBD-edibles but also tinctures, salves, topicals and THC-laden bath soak. The duo have described the bath soak as profoundly relaxing. Goldberg has been using vape pen to consume hash oil for a long time. She had stress, discomfort, pressure, pain and glaucoma. CBD oil has solved these problems.
The company’s target consumers are middle-aged women who suffer from menstrual cramps, nerve pain and other health problems.
There are many pot smokers in the United States. Whoopi Goldberg’s message to them is “Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.” She went on saying “For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort.”
The former UFC champion admitted that he used vape pen to smoke CBD oil. This admittance is not endorsement per se, in fact, it stirred a huge uproar and a probe by USADA that followed it afterwards. However, the reasons cited by Diaz to justify using CBD oil sound pretty familiar.
Diaz first announced he was smoking vape pen after his 5-round match with Conor McGregor. After making the announcement, when media questioned him what was in the vape pen, Diaz’s offhand reply was CBD oil.
Here’s the YouTube link to the confession. It doesn’t sound out of place because there are other UFC and MMA fighters who sailed on the same boat. And we can understand why. The risks of injury and trauma are high for those fighters. CBD oil relieves pain, heals injuries and helps to concentrate.
He doesn’t need any introduction. His deep, soothing voice and mannerism have earned him respect and adulation from movie buffs and non-movie buffs alike.
What many people don’t know about him is he is an ardent marijuana-legalization activist. Freeman has used several CBD products. In his own words “Marijuana has many useful uses…I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana.”
He met a fatal accident in 2008, which caused chronic pain. Cannabis products showed him the silver lining. Here’s the link to the video where Freeman spoke in favor of marijuana legalization.
He’s a Canadian comedian, actor, director and musician. Chong has another identity – he’s a dedicated cannabis enthusiast. His love for cannabis is rooted in his recovery from prostate cancer. It’s indeed a story to tell.
In June 2012, Chong announced that he has prostate cancer. A month later came another announcement that he’s now 99% cancer free. Chong attributed the cure from cancer to hemp oil.
He described this uncomfortable chapter in his life as “I also treated the condition with hemp oil (hash oil). With the diet, the supplements and the hash oil, plus a session with a world-renowned healer, Adam Dreamhealer, I’m cancer-free. That’s right, I kicked cancer’s ass!”
When studies after studies are unveiling marijuana’s effectiveness against cancer, Chong’s words do resonate. Interestingly, Chong didn’t eulogize CBD for being non-psychoactive. Instead, he said the psychoactive properties of cannabis were responsible for relieving excruciating pain.
Ghost Face Killa
He’s not just a rapper. The Wu-Tang clan member has announced he’s working on the “Wu-Goo” line of CBD oil. The Wu-Goo line of products will contain THC, be available as vape cartridges, and take the vape boom to its peak as one hit will be enough.
Killah is not alone in this. He has partnered with a California-based company that operates in the vape pen market. The company representatives told media outlets that Killah jumped on the bandwagon at the right time.
The hash oil will come in various flavors so it can find a larger consumer-base. Killah’s personal favorite is Pineapple Coconut and he promised customers that this flavor will taste awesome. Two highlights of the upcoming Wu-Goo weed oil are it won’t be synthetic weed and secondly, it will retain the psychoactive properties.
Williams is not just another celeb who uses hemp oil for healing. He was a keynote speaker at a conference held in Orlando in 2015. The aim of the conference was to raise awareness about medical marijuana and CBD oil benefits.
The expo was not the first occasion Williams spoke in favor of CBD oil. He has always campaigned for the decriminalization of cannabis. A spokesman for the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA), Montel played an active role within the nonprofit organization MS Foundation.
What drove Williams to CBD?
In 1999, Williams was diagnosed of having multiple sclerosis (MS). Two things, according to him, helped him recover. These were snowboarding and cannabis.
In an interview, Williams said he will continue to consume medical marijuana until the day he dies. “Medical marijuana has allowed me to live a productive, fruitful life despite having multiple sclerosis. Many thousands of others all over this country.” He said.
The six celebrities mentioned here don’t hide the fact that they use cannabis. In fact, they buttress the demand of making cannabis legal. Already several states have legalized cannabis. Maybe the charm of these celebs will influence other states to follow this footstep.
